We had an awesome time this year for the 4th of July. The Nielsen clan all gathered in Utah (and they know how to pack in the fun!), and we even squeezed in some Thacker cousin time in too. We ate good food, saw lots of neighborhood fireworks, took a spontaneous dip in a fountain, saw the new Twilight movie (with just the girls, which is one of my favorite new traditions), and Toy Story 3, and had a BBQ at the park. But, I'd have to say my favorite part was Stadium of Fire with Carrie Underwood (Kendal and I have been fans since her American Idol days). She was so awesome! ... and the fireworks were cool too. The only negative was a sore back from the stadium benches, and not being able to stand up and dance properly when Carrie rocked it out. Alas, I'll just have to go to another of her concerts.
